Dosage: Pariet 20mg drug is usually used orally, the patient must not chew or break the tablet, should take it at least 30 minutes before eating to promote the full effect of the drug. Depending on the treatment goal, the dose of pariet will be different:
Treatment of acute duodenal ulcer: 20mg/time/day in the morning, orally for 4 weeks if the ulcer is not completely healed Treat stomach ulcer Acute stomach: 20mg / time / day x 6 weeks in the morning, if the ulcer has not healed, continue to use for another 6 weeks Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease with symptoms of ulcers, scratches: 20 mg / time / day x 4-8 weeks Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis: 10 mg once daily for up to 4 weeks then 10 mg once daily as needed Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: initial with a dose of 60 mg/time/day, up to a maximum of 120 mg/day, divided into 2 doses depending on the patient, may appoint a dose of once/day up to 100 mg.

Description: Pariet is used for the symptomatic relief of heartburn and stomach acid complaints due to gastro-oesophageal reflux caused by "washing back" of food and acid from the stomach into the food pipe, also known as the oesophagus. Reflux can cause a burning sensation in the chest, rising up to the throat, also known as heartburn. Frequent heartburn is when you have heartburn for two or more days a week. Heartburn that occurs frequently is a typical symptom of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). Pariet works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach makes to give relief from the symptoms. Your food will still be digested in the same way.
