  • The dosage of paracetamol depends on the weight of the child. The ages are mentioned for information. If you do not know the child's weight, it should be weighed to give the best dose. Paracetamol is available in many strengths, allowing treatment to be tailored to the weight of each child.
  • The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg / kg / day. This presentation is suitable for administration in 4 divided doses, i.e. approximately 15 mg / kg every 6 hours or 10 mg / kg every 4 hours. The syringe for oral administration, graduated per half kilogram, delivers 15 mg / kg / dose.
  • The dose to be administered for one intake is therefore obtained by pulling the plunger to the graduation corresponding to the weight of the child. This dose can be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 doses per day.

    • Side effects

  • low fever with nausea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite
