Indication:

  • ALBENTOX® Oral suspension is used for treatment of oxyuriasis, Ascariasis, Ankylostomasis, Trichocephalosis, Anguillulosis, Taeniasis, Giardiasis, Trichinellosis.

    Indications Daily dose Duration of treatment
    – Oxyuriasis – Child from 1 to 2 years old: 200 mg or 7.5 ml or ½ bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension.

     

    – Adult and child over 2 years old: 400 mg, or 1 bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension

    A single shot to repeat 7 days later.
    – Ascaridiasis

     

    – Ankylostomasis

    – Trichocephalosis

     

    – Child from 1 to 2 years old: 200 mg or 7.5 ml or ½ bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension.

     

    – Adult and child over 2 years old: 400 mg, or 1 bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension.

    A single dose ***.
    – Anguillulosis

     

    -Taeniasis   (associated with other parasites)

     

    – Adult and child over 2 years old: 400 mg, or 1 bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension. Once daily for 3 days on repeat ***.
    – Giardiasis – Child: 400 mg, or 1 bottle of 15 ml of oral suspension. Once daily for 5 consecutive days repeated.
    – Trichinellosis – Child: 15 mg / kg / day in 2 divided doses per day.

     

    – Adult: 800 mg, or 2 bottles of 15 ml of oral suspension.

     

    Taking morning and evening for 10 to 15 days depending on the severity of symptoms and how early in the therapeutic management.

    *** In case of anguillulosis, trichocephalosis and taeniasis, if 3 weeks after the treatment, the parasite test result in the stools is still positive, so a second course of treatment is advised.

    SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE

    Mode of administration: Oral route.

    Side effects:

    • Nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness.
    • Pregnancy: Not recommended.
    • Breast-feeding: Ask for your doctor’s advice.
