How to Use Rectal Suppositories
1.If you feel like defecation, you should defecate prior to using the suppository.
2.Wash your hands. If the suppository is soft, place it in the refrigerator or cold water before unwrapping the suppository in order to harden it and easily insert.
3.Unwrap the suppository.
4.Lie on your side with one leg straight and the other bent in toward your chest,
or stand with one leg up on a chair,
or squat with legs slightly apart, similar to when defecating.
5.Gently insert the suppository into the anus, narrow end first. Try to insert deeply to prevent the drug falling out.
6.Lie still for about 15 minutes.
