Indication:

  •  is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g.common cold, flu). Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness.

Ingredient:

  • cefixime trihydrate ...............200mg
  • Excipients: q.s.f ………………………. 1 Cap

Direction:

  • Adults and children older than 12 years of age and weighing more than 50 kilograms (kg)—400 milligrams (mg) once a day or 200 mg every 12 hours.
  • Children 6 months to 12 years of age—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 8 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight per day, taken as a single dose or divided in two doses (4 mg/kg of body weight every 12 hours).
  • Children up to 6 months of age—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.

Side effects:

  • Stomach upset/pain, diarrhea, nausea, gas, headache, or dizziness may occur.
  • If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
