Lipiget containing atorvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA. This blocks the enzymes required for the synthesis of cholesterol in the liver. The drugs that lower HMG-coA levels in the body are called statins.

- 10 mg or 20mg once a day as a starting dose. The dose is increased periodically if required.
