Indication
Symptomatic treatment of bothersome non-productive coughs.
NEO-CODION ADULTS, syrup is indicated for adults.
CAUTION:
This medicinal product contains 3.1% V/V of ethanol (alcohol), that is to say up to 0.4 g of ethanol per tablespoon (15 ml). The amount of ethanol per tablespoon of this medicine is equivalent to less than 10 ml of beer or 4 ml of wine. The small amount of alcohol contained in this medicine is not likely to cause any noticeable effect.

At therapeutic doses
The adverse effects of codeine are comparable to those of other opiates, but they are rarer and moderate.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders : allergic dermatitis.
Nervous system disorders : drowsiness, dizziness.
Gastrointestinal disorders : nausea, vomiting, constipation, pancreatitis.
Hepatobiliary disorders: acute abdominal pain syndrome of biliary or pancreatic type, suggestive of spasm of the sphincter of Oddi, occurring particularly in cholecystectomized subjects
Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders : respiratory depression (see section Contraindications ), bronchospasm.
